The Kori 8″ Vetrified Aluminum Oxide Whetstone 1000 grit is an ideal combination stone used to create a razor-sharp edge. 1000 grit is used to create a new edge by removing material. This Japanese waterstone needs to be soaked in water for several minutes (until the bubbles stop) before use. During use, we recommend splashing or spraying small amounts of water on the stone to keep it wet and create an abrasive slurry.
